One of the UK's leading retail chains. For their summer books promotion, we set up customer events in their stores throughout Britain, featuring top travel writers and photographers talking about their travels and their work. This culminated in a travel photo exhibition at their flagship London store.

Upmarket travel concierge website. To incentivise their clients, we are setting up travel photography evenings in the City of London, free after booking a holiday.

Wanderlust magazine: customer weekends

The UK’s leading adventure travel magazine. To launch a series of customer weekends, they asked us to organise a photographic trip to Seville. It sold out, and three years later we have organised further weekends in Istanbul, Marrakech, Granada and Cordoba. We plan and deliver the entire event, from choice of destination to choice of restaurants, from evening entertainment to currency exchange for senior staff.

The Adventure Travel Show: visitor seminars

The UK’s main adventure travel exhibition. To increase visitor attendance, we supplied them with dedicated half-day seminars which were sold as ticketed events in their own right. These generated income and offered distinctive product in a competitive marketplace. We themed the seminars and booked distinguished speakers on travel writing and photography. We have been asked to repeat them this year.

Steppes Travel: staff weekend

Leading tailor-made travel company. For their 2008 staff weekend, we devised a weekend in Andalucia themed around travel photography. This upgraded the skills they need for taking brochure shots, and also created a fun event which gave them something they could take home into their personal lives.

Luxury Backpackers guidebooks: editorial services

“Travellers' Tales gave our guidebook a fast and expert overhaul, from choice of cover to line-by-line editing. They were just right for the quality and authority we aim for."

A new range of glossy guidebooks. We provided strategic advice on production and design, plus detailed copy-editing. The project was delivered to an extremely tight deadline, for this year's Christmas market.

Traveller magazine: editorial consultancy
