LEARN the inside secrets of what magazine editors are looking for.

IDENTIFY gaps in the market for your travel images.

FIND OUT what your website needs to make picture buyers happy.

What's in the course?

This commercially focussed one-day course is features Wanderlust contributing editor Will Gray, Fleet Street veteran Doug MacKinlay and editor of Outdoor Photography magazine Steve Watkins.

This is the course you need to get your work out there - whether in travel magazines, via stock libraries, or by creating your own photo books and online galleries. It introduces you to the world of shooting travel photographs for publication and looks in depth at everything you need to succeed

The day offers the inside track on how the market works and how to approach editors and buyers. There is a demonstration of how to build individual images into a photo-story or personal project, advice on how to place your work with magazines and photo libraries, and insight into how to create your own online gallery.

Weather permitting, the course includes a mentored shoot that focuses on preparing a set of images that editors could buy. It also offers detailed and supportive feedback on your work, which you are encouraged to bring along for comment.

Sessions are extensively illustrated with clear and insightful presentations featuring inspiring imagery, and are designed to engender an informative and encouraging atmosphere. No previous experience of selling your images is needed. The tutors are top professionals who willingly share their experience and expertise to ensure you get the best chance of shooting work that can be published.

This is Day 4 of our six-part series for advanced photographers. It works on its own, but you might also like the rest of Shoot Travel Photos Like The Pro's (see below).
